Swimming pond
The swimming pond is an increasingly popular form of water fun. In general there are no fish in a swimming pond but some small fish is not a problem. Swimming ponds are available in different types and there are many options and finishes possible.
The formal form
The formal swimming pond is often a rectangular shape with an adjacent plant filter. The bottom is made of concrete and the walls are made of concrete blocks. Edges of the swimming pond are often finished with a hardstone such as arduin. A formal swimming pond can be built very compactly and therefore placed in smaller gardens.
The informal form
The informal form resembles a natural pond but does not have plants directly in the pond. There are various possibilities for the location of the plant filter.
The hybrid form
The hybrid form is a combination of the two above forms. The bottom for the swimming area is made of concrete and the concrete brick walls. The plant filter is built next to or around the pond with natural wavy shapes. Because the upper edge of the concrete blocks does not appear above the water level, the pond looks of the top.
